Tactical Rescue Technician

The course is for medics working in a high threat environments, who may be needed to rescue team members and mission staff from difficult terrain and damaged vehicles due to IED’s and other potential hostile mechanisms.

The 14 day tactical rescue technician course, starts with a 5 days rope rescue technique, followed by 3 days of confined space rescue and a 2 days vehicle extrication, where the focus is on extricating casualties from vehicles, with the aid of tools such as electrical heavy cutters etc.

There is also a one day prolonged field care training, focusing on the extended care of casualties that may be entrapped in vehicles etc. The course culminates with 3 days of case exercises, including a night exercise where all the skills that the students have learned will be tested. All the cases will include hyper-realistic casualty simulation.
